Te Ohu Kaimoana is a statutory organisation dedicated to future advancement of M?ori interests in the marine environment. Its role is to allocate to mandated iwi organisations fisheries assets held in trust through the 1989 and 1992 M?ori Commercial Fisheries Settlement and provide an advisory service to its iwi constituents.

Building capacity of Maori, Pacific and mainstream organisations to enable them to contribute effectively and meaningfully, to the development of Maori and Pacific communities.

The Federation is easily New Zealand's largest Maori business network with a voluntary membership of Maori Incorporations, Maori Land Trusts, Maori Trusts Boards and Runanga, and emerging communally owned entities. The mission of the network is to progressively foster and promote the development, sound management and the economic advancement of Maori Authorities and in turn the wider Maori communities they benefit.

AFL is the largest Maori-owned fisheries company in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Our vision is to be the key investment vehicle of choice for Iwi in the fishing industry, to maximise the value of Maori fisheries assets and to ensure that we are a strong seafood business delivering growth in shareholder wealth to Iwi.
