Te Waka Toi, the Maori arts board of Creative New Zealand, allocates project grants and develops initiatives. Te Waka Toi also funds Toi Maori Aotearoa on a three-year basis and Kahurangi Maori Dance Theatre on an annual basis. With the Arts Board of Creative New Zealand, it contributes to the annual funding of Taki Rua Productions.

Pou Kapua is a magnificent carved taonga designed and developed by Pou Kapua Creations.
Pou Kapua is carved from magnificent ancient Kauri from the forests of the Iwi of Te Rarawa. Other materials it is sculpted from include totara, steel and 50,000 year old swamp kauri. Standing on each side of Pou Kapua are two moai (over 3 tonnes each) carved by expert sculptors from Rapanui/Easter Island. Pou Kapua is adorned with paua, pounamu, bone and crystal.
