Uniquely Karekare... Karekare is a small community on Auckland’s wild west coast, surrounded by impressive regenerating forest. Karekare Landcare was formed in January 2000, with a commitment to minimise the impact of introduced weed and animal pests. Anyone can join the group; no matter where you live you will learn and experience more of Karekare by helping with the conservation projects that enhance the area. Help us keep Karekare special!
