Waikite Valley Thermal Pools is a unique place to go to experience the ‘Living Waters’ of the Te Manaroa Spring, the largest single source of 100% pure boiling water in New Zealand. These very waters cascade into our main splash pool (35-38C), adjoining toddlers beach area and the sit and soak pool (38-40C) also, our new luxurious Tranquil Garden pool. We have new changing rooms with toilet and shower areas for families and the physically challenged.

Explore Ulva Island with Ulva's Guided Walks on Stewart Island, New Zealand. Ulva Goodwillie, your guide, who is named after the Island, is a direct descendant of the first Maori peoples of Stewart Island. She is passionate and very knowledgeable about this special place and would love to share it with you... Marae is New Zealand television's longest running Maori current affairs, having first broadcast live to air in 1992. Hosted by Parliament Press Gallery journalist Shane Taurima, Marae screens 10am Saturday mornings on TV ONE. Marae is funded 100% by Te Mangai Paho

TVNZ is New Zealand's biggest free-to-air broadcaster and is also the nation's television public broadcaster. We operate two channels, TVONE and TV2. The TVNZ Charter provides a guide to our broadcasting responsibilities and makes it clear that TVNZ's role is to reflect and explore what it means to be a New Zealander. To New Zealanders, this unique and special responsibility means quality television that educates, informs and entertains through local home grown programming and the best of international programming.

On 97.2 FM we cover (Turangi, Taupo, Taumarunui, Reporoa, Atiamuri, Mangakino, Rotorua, Tokoroa, Waiouru)..This more than sufficently caters for our people within Ngati Tuwharetoa Boundaries.(Central Plateau & Taupo Basin)..with an added bonus for those outside the area..We also have a repeater site 95.1 FM in Taumarunui which reinforces those areas in Taumarunui, National Park, Whakapapa, & parts of Raetihi which cannot get us on 97.2fm..

We provide a supportive environment for our Maori students. Tutara Wananga is our Centre for Maori Education, Research and Development and stems from the link between the ancient Maori and that of the changing role of Maori in today's society. It provides services such as Matauranga Maori, Kaupapa Maori support, consultancy, research and staff development.

On site join the rangatahi (young people) at the Whakairo (carving), and Raranga (weaving). Join in and make something from flax, bone or wood. Visit a Marae being constructed as well as learning Maori protocol on a marae, tribal structure and spiritual studies.
