Te Waka Huia has set a standard from the very start, and has since gone on to set records admired and envied throughout the country in the history of Traditional Maori Performing Arts.

Te Herenga Waka is the name of the Marae based at Victoria University of Wellington, and is the home of the group Te Kapa Haka o Te Herenga Waka. The group has primarily been student based and over the years has embraced members from all corners of the world. Te Kapa Haka o Te Herenga Waka is the Maori Cultural Performing Arts Group based here at Victoria University of Wellington.

Pounamu is a family business of Ngapo and Pimia Wehi, the most recognised leaders of the Traditional Maori Performing Arts in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Pounamu, commonly referred to as greenstone is one of the most prized of Maori treasures and symbolises quality. Quality is also the hallmark of the services provided by Pounamu.

Manawatahi is the Maori Students Roopu at Massey University, Palmerston North. It is an organisation that represents and advocates on behalf of Maori students during their time of study.

We provide contemporary Māori costumes (kakahu) from early-childhood up to adult sizes. We combine the traditional Māori Taniko method of weaving with the durability of modern materials.

Our costume range currently consists of: Piupiu (skirt), Pari me piupiu, Panekoti (bodice with skirt), Korowai (cloak), Tipare (headband), Rakau (Māori stick game) and Poi.
