Hapene is a unique net-like textile made from the leaf of the New Zealand flax plant or Harakeke. Aesthetically beautiful and entirely natural, the stunning Hapene range is exclusively designed and produced in Feilding, New Zealand, the very place where the idea was conceived by Christall Rata in 1999, and uses a patented method to release the muka, or fibre, within the leaf.
