Orakei Water Sports is an Iwi based and community focused organisation that has been in existence since November 1999 (constituted in November 2000). The purpose of this organisation is to provide opportunities for people of all ages, gender and ethnic background, especially in the area of water sport and culture. Tikanga Maori and Kawa Waka-Ama are a fundamental part of our organisation's makeup and they are reflected in our policies and procedures. Our direction, support and guidance come from Orakei Marae. We enjoy sharing about the history of the Waitemata with all who take part in our activities. Okahu Landing (Next to Fergs Kayaks) Tamaki Drive Okahu Bay Auckland
