Te Kakano O Te Atua (Seed of God). A Kapahaka Roopu in Western Sydney. Founded in 2005, made up of young to old, very lively, friendly, committed and disciplined roopu. Very whanau orientated, loving, caring, always up for a good laugh, but love to perform and share our maori culture along with a positive message. Most recent performances include performing on behalf of Michael Campbell, haka and powhiri for International Sporting and Music artists, weddings, celebrations, birthdays, sporting events, music events, festivals and fairs. Te Herenga Moana -- meaning the joining of the seas is a new kapahaka group starting up in the Blacktown - Western Sydney area. Our first practice was held on Sunday 22nd November 2009 and was a great success giving us a chance to teach/learn/share with our children and adults alike. Kia mau te wehi. If you want to come along to any of our practices or you want to join Te Herenga Moana you are most welcome to.
