The Kotahitanga Unity Concert will be a 12 hour music concert held in Paeroa. It is a collaborated effort and vision by four Paeroa Marae (Tirohia, Te Pai o Hauraki, Taharua and Kerepehi Marae) – to celebrate the concept of Kotahitanga ‘Unity’ in Marae, Whanau, Communities, Hauraki and Aotearoa-wide. The concert will feature an impressive line up of New Zealand Musicians and Artists, complimented with an array of local kai delicacies, Maori arts, crafts and fashion, exhibits by local service providers and Taonga Maori – Ta Moko, Waka and Raranga demonstrations.The infamous Aunty Mabel will be the humorous MC along with Lana Garland. Entertainment by; Ardijah, 1814, Pitch Black, Whirimako, Dam Native, Chantdown, Native Sons, Phaze, local kapa haka groups and more.

"Te Papa Wawata Ki Te Moana" is a kapahaka group based in Dee Why. We are a whakangahau roopu however, are looking at the possiblity of developing another group aimed at competition nationally/internationally. We encourage all ages/nationalities to come and participate. We are pan-tribal in terms of style, kawa, with the guidance of our much respescted Kuia/Kaumatua. Please feel free to bring your whanau and especially tamariki and come along for a waiata, cuppa tea and a biscuit!
