Paula's Literacy Charitable Trust in Hamilton, is now needing six financial sponsors, to contribute $5,000 each, so I can create a big exciting and innovative new concept that will have a major impact on children's education, tourism, and many other benefits nation and world wide global. I will be producing 400 scenic poetry dvds of the Waikato, combined with 11 of my original poems in English and Maori, narrated in English and Maori, set to back ground music . These dvds will be used in schools as teaching resources, for special needs, autistic, disabilities, deaf, children. For tourism also. The benefits for my sponsors will be big, they will have big recognition nation and world wide as its going global. Recently my videographer and I were filmed on TV Centrals show lets go shopping, at our lovely Italian garden in Hamilton, to show the community more information about my Literacy Charitable Trust, and attract sponsorship. This show was on TV centrals free view for a week and shown to 400,000 viewers, in the Waikato, Tauranga, Bay of plenty, and Rotorua. Then recently I was interviewed on air by Anthony Hoskings the presenter of Motivational Radio in Christchurch, for the same reasons. I also have lovely lilac covered poetry books for sale new for $16.50 per copy as they would make a nice gift for christmas, plus postage, if any one would like to order one please email me on rpbisphan@xtra.co.nz. With the funds produced by the sales of my scenic poetry dvds, poetry books and scenic poetry calendars, I will then be creating new resources for education for children and adults for literacy. I also want to create resources for the blind and deaf community as they are badly lacking here. By creating a short story and poetry book in Braille, as I have now 600 original poems to choose from. Also convert some of my poems into songs and the blind community can use them for entertainment. I also plan to employ disabled and deaf staff, from the community to assist me with my orders, labels, packaging and posting of my dvd and other products orders. I have now 18 shops and several schools wanting to buy my dvds now in Auckland and Hamilton and others will follow suit. I also have Arts Waikato, mental health, language insitutions, local mps, and many other associations wanting to see this project get produced. if you would like to sponsor me, or you would like me to send you a copy of my Charitable Trusts sponsorship proposal, please contact me on 078481046 Hamilton. or email me on rpbisphan@xtra.co.nz. I have just launched my new website all about my Trust this week, it is www.wowwaikato.co.nz please look it up and tell me what you think, thank you. Island activities: Five times each afternoon — at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 and 5:30 — the Maori put on a demonstration that explains the symbolic significance of their beautiful meeting house, unique carvings, facial tattoos, the ancient origins and meanings of sticking out their tongues and twirling poi balls, and other aspects of one of Polynesia's most unusual group of people. You won't want to miss the stirring haka dance; kids will enjoy learning to play tititorea, a Maori stick game designed to develop hand-eye coordination, and kids of all ages seem to enjoy the ta moko area where they can get a temporary tattoo. Experience a Fortified Maori Pa... Aotearoa also features a historic 40-man waka taua (war canoe), a traditional watch tower, and a carver's hut with a gift shop and snack stand.
